A documentary that asks the question: Can we be scared into the sacred? Can we take the trials of extreme historical situations and transform them into a force of awakening? Or will we succumb to groundlessness and fear? Takes us on a journey to the pivotal "Ground Zeros" of the world, places like Wounded Knee, Auschwitz, Hiroshima, New York City and Afghanistan, among the darkest moments of human history. Thu April 26 Take Our Children to Work Day
The Peter White Public Library is inviting young people, aged 8 to 15, to visit the library for “Take Our Children to Work Day” on Thursday, April 26. Pre-registration and parental permission are required to participate. The Library Staff will host the young people in various departments of the library, explaining the tasks that are performed there, and offering the opportunity for hands-on participation where appropriate. The day begins at 9:00 a.m. and runs until 3:00 p.m. There is no charge; attendees should bring a bag lunch, or money to purchase lunch at Tu Kaluthia Café in the Library. Snacks will be provided. Registration will be taken at the Library’s Children’s Desk. The number of participants will be limited to 10 children. For more information, phone 226-4323.

We Say "Thanks a Million" to all who have donated.
Youth Services will gladly accept your pennies, as well as your silver or gold coins and paper bills that can be exchanged into pennies. One million pennies equals $10,000. This money will be put into an endowment fund to purchase books, audios, etc. for the Youth Services Department in the Future.
