The Administration of the Peter White Public Library is an assemblage of a Library Director, Deputy Director, Administrative Assistant, IT Coordinator, Finance Clerk and a five-member Board of Trustees. A Township Advisory Council also exists to represent the area townships that are part of the PWPL's service area. The current Library Director is Ms. Pamela R. Christensen, MLS. Members of the Library's governing board are appointed by the Marquette City Commission to serve a five (5) year term. A member may serve for a maximum of two terms, or a total of 10 years, on the Board. The five-member board elects officers amongst itself. The current officers are President Toni Eppensteiner and Diane Patrick, Secretary.

Regularly scheduled meetings are open to the public in the Peter White Conference Room, located on the main floor of the Library.
